General

Users may not download multiple sound files or large amounts of data (including text, maps, and video) from the Acoustic Atlas without explicit permission.

Audio

Audio files on the Acoustic Atlas are provided by volunteers, researchers, and through collaborations with agencies like the National Park Service. Audio rights are noted on the item page for each recording, and vary according to the preference of the contributor / recordist. Downloads are available for appropriately licensed audio files. Use of these files must be in accordance with the licensing restrictions.

Images

Attributions for images used on the Acoustic Atlas are noted, where possible, in a title hover tag for each image. Species images are generated via the Encyclopedia of Life Application Programming Interface (API).
